My Architect is a documentary about the son of a famous architect and his journey to discover who his father was and what he meant to the architecture world. Nathaniel Kahn, son of well known architect Louis I. Kahn, was born out of wedlock and didn't know much about his father while he was growing up. His father was a deeply complex human and a brilliant architect. The story of his search for his father is emotional and powerful.
The journey takes Nathaniel all over the world where he visits the famous buildings that his father designed. There are also interviews with some grand personalities of the architecture world including Philip Johnson, Frank Gehry, and Edmund Bacon. As a videography of Louis Kahn's great works, the movie is amazing. As a story of son and father, the movie is touching.
